DuraPlus by DuraVent is a triple-wall chimney system that is intended to maintain a cool outside, offer a warm airflow inside, increase stove efficiency, and offer a fire-safe design that safeguards both the chimney and the structure. There are two insulating layers in this triple-wall chimney (ceramic blanket and air gap). Hot spots that are typical of loose-fill type insulations are eliminated since the ceramic blanket insulation is maintained firmly in place. The compressible blanket insulation allows the chimney liner to spread radially outward in the case of a creosote fire.
