Upgrade your fireplace on a budget with our competitively-priced foundation refacing! This remarkable prefab facing is constructed from a 24 gauge steel frame complemented by aluminum doors. Customize the frames to your taste with a choice of three powder coat finishes. For a touch of elegance, opt for the additional anodized finishes available for the door frame in Anodized Brite Nickel.
This pre-built cover provides the flexibility to choose between cabinet-style or trackless bi-fold doors, both fitted with grey tempered safety glass. The top-mounted door handles, available in a square design, guarantee ease of use.
Achieve the necessary air circulation for a zero-clearance fireplace. The installation process is straightforward with the aid of strong earth magnets, eliminating the need for drilling. For added convenience, a gate mesh door kit can be included as an upgrade. This fireplace refacing combines affordability with a fresh, customized appearance.
Operation Instructions:
- Safe Use with Glass Doors and Screens: ZC ReFace Enclosures are designed to be used with the glass doors open and the screens closed when the fire is burning. This setup maximizes heat output. Whether using the original screens or new ones ordered with your ZC ReFace, always keep the screens closed when a fire is burning, except when loading or maintaining the fire.
- Fire Size and Clearance: Build and maintain small to moderate wood fires. Ensure at least 5 inches of clearance between the fire and the ZC ReFace using properly sized fireplace grates and/or andirons. Avoid overheating the enclosure, as it can damage the frame, glass, finish, or discolor the metal. Overheating is considered abuse and is not covered under warranty.
- Unattended Fires: Never leave the room with both the glass doors and screens open. Normally, operate with glass doors open and screens closed. When retiring for the night or leaving the room for an extended period, close the glass doors to provide maximum spark protection. Ensure the fire is under control and moderate in size before closing the glass doors. The air gaps between the glass panels allow for sufficient air to support combustion and help keep the ZC Fireplace cool. Do not tamper with or adjust these air gaps. Keep the fireplace flue damper fully open during use. Once the fire is completely extinguished, close the flue damper and glass doors to minimize heat loss.
- Use with Gas Logs: When using ZC ReFace Enclosures with gas logs, keep the glass doors open and screens closed to ensure adequate airflow. Maintain at least 5 inches of clearance between the gas fire and the enclosure. Gas logs produce consistent heat, which can overheat the enclosure if the glass doors are closed, potentially damaging the components. Follow all instructions provided by the gas log manufacturer.
