SFKITxx - Horizontal Vent Kit
Kit includes compressed flex vent, flex adapter, fire block/spacer, two clamps, and square termination
- Compressed Flex Vent: A flexible metal vent pipe, usually made of stainless steel or aluminum, used for venting appliances like fireplaces and stoves. It’s designed to navigate tight spaces and bends easily.
- Flex Adapter: A connector that joins flexible vent pipes to rigid vent sections or appliance flues, ensuring a secure and seamless transition between different venting materials.
- Fire Block/Spacer: A component that maintains proper clearance between vent pipes and combustible materials, providing fire safety by sealing gaps and supporting structural stability.
- Two Clamps: Clamps are used to securely fasten vent connections, preventing leaks and maintaining stability in the venting system.
- Square Termination: A vent cap with a square design that sits at the end of the vent system. It directs exhaust gases outside, protects the vent from weather and debris, and ensures proper draft and airflow.
SFVTxx- Vertical Vent Kit
Includes flex adaptor, section of rigid vent, roof support collar assembly, roof flashing, and storm collar.
- Flex Adaptor: This connector links flexible vent pipes to rigid vent sections or appliance flues, allowing a smooth transition and secure connection between different types of venting materials.
- Section of Rigid Vent: A straight, non-flexible pipe used in venting systems to provide a stable pathway for exhaust gases. Rigid vent sections are durable, resist high temperatures, and are used where flexibility isn’t needed.
- Roof Support Collar Assembly: This component supports the vent pipe at the roofline, providing structural stability. It holds the vent securely in place, preventing movement and maintaining the proper alignment of the venting system.
- Roof Flashing: A waterproof barrier that seals around the vent pipe where it passes through the roof. It prevents water leaks and protects the roof and vent system from weather elements.
- Storm Collar: A metal ring installed above the roof flashing on the vent pipe. It diverts water away from the flashing to prevent leaks, enhancing the waterproofing of the vent system.
