Wall panels for fireplaces come in a variety of shapes, which gives them a distinct appearance. We offer 6 different shape profiles you can select from, this is the first step in designing your paneled fireplace wall. Check out the different layout options below.

The layouts above are available for all material types, however Shiplap is only available if you are using Aluminum as the base material. The styles offer designs that will suit any home or compliment your existing decor.

Metal architecture can be seen everywhere today and is the new age of modern taste. Wall paneling around your fireplace can be a great way to achieve this modern look. After you decide on the panel style you will want to figure out what material and finish you would like. We will explain this in detail below.

Wall Panel Material and Finishes

There are a wide range of powder coat finishes for steel wall panels. Stainless steel wall panels are only available in brushed stainless. Aluminum wall panels are available in powder coat finishes but are only available in shiplap panel layouts which features 5" tall strips. Wall panel systems are available in the following materials:

• Steel (1/8" thick)
• Stainless Steel
• Aluminum (shiplap panel layout only)

If you do have a fireplace door that is going to be installed with a new wall panel system, you will likely want some contrast between their finishes. The good news is there are many standard and premium powder coat finishes you can choose from for both steel and aluminum walls.

Decorative Options and Trim

Now that we have made it through the beginning steps of wall paneling your fireplace, it is time we talk about the additional decorative options as well as the trim. Standard trim is included into the product price as well as the standard mounting brackets. We will list out all of the additional options below.

• Post Trim - This provides additional trim depth and does not sit flush with the wall as the standard trim does.
• Banding - Decorative banding can be added to the panel seams to provide a more sophisticated look.
• Rivets - You can choose to have rivets added to the wall panels.
• Banding and Rivets - This option allows you to add rivets to both the wall panels and the banding strips.

All of the options above can be added at an additional cost, but they allow you to make your fireplace accent wall unique. Wall Panel Mounting

The standard mounting method varies slightly depending on which layout style you choose. However they all utilize mounting tracks. This is the part of the purchasing decision that most people struggle with, as it can be overwhelming to install a large system like this. You can always hire a local contractor to install the shelf after it arrives, or if you can get a few friends to give you a hand it is totally possible to install yourself.

As you can see in the images above the wall panel comes with a mounting track system which is mounted to the studs behind your wall. These tracks provide channels for the panels to sit in and also allow them to be secured to the face of the tracks. The picture above also shows the surround bracket that would be used if you had a fireplace opening in the wall.

After all of the panels are installed and secured you can start on installing the trim. Standard trim is shown in the image above, but the same method would apply for post trim. There are additional brackets that will be inserted around the edges which will be used to hold the trim on all four sides of the wall panel system.
