Hargrove 19" Olde World Vented Coal Basket

Convert your old Victorian fireplace over to gas while still getting the traditional look of a coal burning fire with the Olde World Vented Coal Basket from Hargrove. This 19 inch coal grate for fireplaces is ideal for shallow, reduced depth fireplaces with its 10 inch firebox depth requirements. And a smaller gas coal basket means the smaller the amount of fuel (natural gas or propane) that it will need to run. While this fireplace coal basket comes with a match lit, manual ignition, there are options to add either an on/off remote or variable flame height remote for easier and safer ignition operation. All Hargrove gas logs and coal baskets come with a limited lifetime warranty for the original firebox they were installed in. Included with this gas coal fire basket are the refractory coals, vermiculite, volcanic cinders, fittings, and connector.

Please Note: Vented gas coal fire baskets must be used in a fireplace that is vented from the firebox through the chimney. The fireplace damper must be kept open during use to allow for appropriate air flow. For your safety, the burner pan and valve must be assembled by a certified gas professional.
