Brookfield Outdoor Masonry Fireplace Glass Door

Be sure to take all measurements to the nearest 1/16” using a steel tape measure. Note any irregularities around the opening of the fireplace, such as projecting or recessed brick, and advise us before you place an order. For complex custom applications, a photograph of the fireplace will prove very helpful.

 

OVERLAP FIT (needs hearth to sit on)

When the fireplace door is larger than the opening of the fireplace. Measure the width of the opening at the top and again at the bottom. We need the exact minimum width. Next, measure the height of the opening from the hearth (where the door will sit) to either the bottom of the lintel bar or the bottom of the finishing material (brick, marble, etc). We need the exact minimum height.

When the fireplace door is smaller than the opening of the fireplace, and fits inside of the fireplace opening. Measure the width of the opening at the top and again at the bottom. We need the exact minimum width. Next, measure the height of the opening from the hearth/floor to either the bottom of the lintel bar or the bottom of the finishing material (brick, marble, etc). We need the exact minimum height.

INSIDE FIT - Generally, the clearance tolerance gaps can be filled from the backside of the frame using high temp silicone RTV. If the gaps become excessive (as in a stone fireplace), it may be necessary to mortar in the enclosure. Clearance tolerance gaps are determined by the manufacturer according to your opening size.

What You Need To Know If Door Is Used Outdoors
Aluminum doors intended for outdoor use will have most components other than the outer frame and door frames made from stainless steel. Not all components are stainless however and some staining due to corrosion will occur. Fireplace doors used outdoors with stainless components will function as intended if kept clean and the moving components oiled occasionally. Manufacturer is not responsible for tarnishing or discoloration due to environmental factors.

This was the first time ordering fireplace doors online. I posted a questions within my online order, but they were never answered. The doors arrived about 4 1/2 weeks later in excellent condition. They were nicely and efficiently packaged and kept the doors safe during transport.

The doors fit like a glove and were easy to install. The hardest part was to drill the 4 holes in the mortar joints, but that wasn't very difficult to begin with. As mentioned on the website, I had to make minor adjustments to the door hardware. The paint job was incredible, and the quality of the door and thickness of the glass met my high standards. I was surprised to find out that there was no gasket in the middle where the doors meet. There is an overlap in the middle where the screen doors meet and another overlap in the middle where the fireplace doors meet. I'm guessing that's good enough to call a gasket.

My only complaint is that the glue used to hold the magnets to the door was not strong enough. They came off and got stuck to the door frame. Otherwise, everything turned out great.

I would recommend this company if you are looking to buy fireplace doors online.

I got this just in time for Thanksgiving. It wasn't too bad to set up. I had to fiddle with it a bit to get it in there, but I think that is because my fireplace is a little wonky. It looks good in the livingroom and we've enjoyed it the last few days.

I got my doors on Friday, and I just wanted to say thanks! They look fantastic, work perfectly, so simple to install. I couldn’t be any happier! Thanks so much for all your help with getting the right doors for my particular fireplace. We all gathered around the fireplace this afternoon and enjoyed the fire and the doors!!

I'm sending you a photo of our fireplace doors that we bought. It took about a month to get the doors after we ordered them. We chose the gator black finish and it looks so beautiful in our family room. We have a grey rock hearth that it goes with so nice.
