Immediately after use you will be able to use your fireplace and wood stove. Just remember when finished caulking first burn a low fire to dry fireplace mortar, then heat strongly to cure. When the fireplace mortar is properly cured (1200 degrees) it will withstand up to 2,000°F! The mortar will dry to be as hard as your firebrick so you can rest easy about your firebrick repair work. This black mortar is even ideal for filling in joints.
