Original Chillbuster Reduced Depth Ventless Gas Log Set 18"
Bring the warmth and appearance of a traditional fireplace to your home without the smoke or ash of burning wood. The Rasmussen 18" Original Chillbuster Vent-Free Gas Log Set combines detailed refractory ceramic logs with the C1A steel burner to create a realistic flame presentation while providing supplemental heat.
Its reduced-depth design makes it a practical choice for select shallow fireboxes, while the five-piece log set features lifelike bark textures and natural wood details. The C1A burner produces up to 40,000 BTUs with a flame pattern concentrated toward the rear of the burner for a balanced, natural-looking fire.
Choose the fuel type that matches your fireplace—natural gas or propane—and select from several ignition systems, including manual, remote-controlled, millivolt, or electronic ignition with pilot-on-demand technology. The burner package includes a log grate, volcanic ash, embers, an Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) pilot, connector, fittings, and a damper clamp.
This burner is certified for both vent-free and vented installations when installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and applicable local codes. Always verify local regulations before purchasing a vent-free gas appliance.

Cracks in Logs
Mere cracking is not grounds for warranty replacement of a log, as all logs will experience cracking at some time. The logs are subjected to uneven heating, which relieves itself through cracking. Such cracks are most evident in smooth faced logs like split face, manzanita and birch. We reinforce the logs with steel rods to hold together the log (which is much more rigid and effective than other means used by competitors, such as metal shards, mesh, plastic threads or none at all).
