A high quality, heavy duty cover will protect your fire pit from damage caused by precipitation and wind-blown debris, expanding it's life. Fire pits can potentially damaged by ice, rain, hail sun, wind, snow, dirt/ sand, and incests. Our PVC-lined fabric covers can withstand sub-zero temperatures.
UV resistant material will not fade or discolor when exposed to the sun or UV light for extended periods of time, day after day.
You use a fire pit grate in your fireplace so why wouldn't you use it in a fire pit. The fire still needs a steady flow of oxygen to burn, especially at the base of the fire. Grates lift the logs off the ground, keeping it off the damp ground and allowing for air flow underneath. The extra air flow also allows for the fire to burn hotter.
Having these logs exposed to a direct flame from the burner is going to break the bonding of the log sets that keep them intact, causing stress cracks that will void the warranty.
Nothing larger than lava granules and coals should be used. Fire glass and larger lava rocks are too dense for the gas, preventing proper air flow and running the risk of explosion.
No, a screen for your gas fire pit is not absolutely essential, but we would still recommend having one. While gas fires don't spark and put off ash, they aren't safe from outdoor debris like bugs and leaves falling into the burner. And if you have children or pets, a screen is a good safety feature to have to protect their curious fingers and paws from the flames.
Yes. Lava creates many different types of rock forms as it cools but most 'lava rock' products are basalts. They form when air pockets are trapped inside the lava as it rises to the Earth's surface, cooling and expanding. So it is very much like a stone sponge with its porous quality and light weight. And since the lava rock is literally hardened molten fire, it can easily withstand the heat of your fire feature without breaking a sweat.
Because of its porous properties, we urge caution to avoid using your fire features if the lava rock it wet. The water trapped in the air pockets will expand as the lava rocks heat up, increasing the risk of the rocks cracking and even exploding from the pressure.
There is no maintenance required. Your fire glass will be free of soot and odors. It will not leave any residue in the bottom of your fire bowl.
There is always the possibility of small pieces of glass nicking your hands and fingers. For this reason, we do recommend the use of work gloves when handling fire glass. However, please know that we take every precaution necessary to eliminate this issue to the best of our ability. Our fire glass is tumbled many times to round off the edges and smooth the surface of these pieces.
This type of colored fire glass has a reflective finish on one side. This concept is similar to the reflective backing of a mirror. Adding this element to fire glass allows the media to bounce light off its prismatic surfaces for a shimmery display of sparkle and glam!
This is a new form of landscaping or gardening that requires little or no irrigation. It is an extremely low maintenance trend that is popular in areas where the climate tends to be more arid. However, this gorgeous landscaping mulch can be used in variety of design concepts, such as:
The Outdoor On/ Off Remote Control we offer can be used up to 20 feet away from the receiver and can control multi units at the same time with select codes.
