Be sure to take all measurements to the nearest 1/16” using a steel tape measure. Note any irregularities around the opening of the fireplace, such as projecting or recessed brick, and advise us Before you place an order. For complex custom applications, a photograph of the fireplace will prove very helpful.

INSIDE FIT - Generally, the clearance tolerance gaps can be filled from the backside of the frame using high temp silicone RTV. If the gaps become excessive (as in a stone fireplace), it may be necessary to mortar in the enclosure. Clearance tolerance gaps are determined by the manufacturer according to your opening size.

The Newport door uses a 3/16" bar iron construction to offer you clean, sleek lines. Fireplace Door is available as either an overlap and inside fit door, You can make the enclosure truly yours with the plentiful option. Choice of glass tint, choice of handle styles and several powder coat finishes. The tempered safety glass used in this glass fireplace door is 3/16” thick.

It takes a bit of know-how to install this fireplace door, it is drilled into the mortar joints of your fireplace so it will be secure against the firebox and won’t come loose with time. Though this contemporary fireplace door doesn’t come with fireplace mesh, you can choose to add it. We highly recommend fireplace mesh as it can go a long way towards keeping your home and loved ones safe from the crackling fire. As always, the fireplace doors we carry are American made and ship free to our U.S. customers!

Yes assembly and drilling will be required to install the Newport fireplace door. 4 straps attach to the frame and the other end will need to be drilled into the mortar joints of your fireplace. All in all not a bad option and this guarantees that enclosure can be installed onto almost any masonry fireplace door.

Ironhaus / Portland Willamette Limited Warranty

Important! Please read this warranty carefully before installing or using Ironhaus products.

Ironhaus/PW warrants to the original retail purchaser that your product (excluding glass, finish, mesh parts, and/or accessories) will be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only if the product is purchased from an authorized dealer or distributor.

What the Warranty Covers:

  • The manufacturer will repair or replace defective parts at no cost to the purchaser within the one-year warranty period.
  • Labor and transportation costs for removal and return of the product, as well as labor costs for reinstallation, must be paid by the purchaser.
  • Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover:

  • Glass breakage is not covered. For glass replacement, contact a local glass supplier.
  • Outdoor installations or damage caused by excessive fire, neglect, misuse, or abuse.
  • Transit damage or alterations are not covered by the warranty.
  • Commercial applications are warranted for only 90 days for material and workmanship from the date of purchase.

Warranty Limitations and Legal Disclaimer

The implied warranty of merchantability is limited to the duration of the one-year period specified. Other than this, Ironhaus/PW disclaims all implied warranties. The manufacturer is not liable for incidental, consequential, special, or indirect damages arising from any breach of warranty. This warranty is valid only for original installations. Products installed improperly or in non-conformance with local building codes may nullify the warranty. Glass, parts, and accessories sold separately are considered "as is" and not covered under warranty.

The manufacturer disclaims liability for installation and removal charges, labor costs, and related expenses. This limited warranty is exclusively offered to the original retail purchaser and cannot be extended or modified by dealers or other entities.
