Masonry Fireplace Glass Door Original

Be sure to take all measurements to the nearest 1/16” using a steel tape measure. Note any irregularities around the opening of the fireplace, such as projecting or recessed brick, and advise us before you place an order. For complex custom applications, a photograph of the fireplace will prove very helpful.

 

OVERLAP FIT (needs hearth to sit on)

When the fireplace door is larger than the opening of the fireplace. Measure the width of the opening at the top and again at the bottom. We need the exact minimum width. Next, measure the height of the opening from the hearth (where the door will sit) to either the bottom of the lintel bar or the bottom of the finishing material (brick, marble, etc). We need the exact minimum height.

 

INSIDE FIT (inside firebox opening)

When the fireplace door is smaller than the opening of the fireplace, and fits inside of the fireplace opening. Measure the width of the opening at the top and again at the bottom. We need the exact minimum width. Next, measure the height of the opening from the hearth/floor to either the bottom of the lintel bar or the bottom of the finishing material (brick, marble, etc). We need the exact minimum height.

The Original foundation series fireplace glass door shows up with it's timeless and simplicity style. Shows that a sold door does not need all the hoopla. Each door individually made to your specs by highly skilled craftsman. You will burn wood up to 75% more efficient with a new fireplace door. Enclosure is is made for 3/16" tick and 1" wide heavy duty steel frame. Each fireplace door will be built by a blacksmith to your specification. You can select from several powdercoat finishes or hand applied finishes.

Each finish is hand textured and the color is hand applied. This makes your new fireplace door truly unique and one of a kind. As with any handcrafted application there will be variances in the finish.

HAND APPLIED FINISH EXPLAINED:

  • Dark Bronze - Gold hue undertone with and overlay of black in varying degrees of cover
  • Black Copper - Orange hue undertone with and overlay of black in varying degrees of cover
  • Black - Solid black with minimal variation
  • Natural - Variations in color ranging from grey to black
