This grate heater for wood burning fireplaces comes with a front rail that is 1 3/8 inches high. When installing your fireplace grate heater, be sure to take into account that glass fireplace doors will be elevated by the front rail. For inside fit doors, an extra 1 inch depth is required to accommodate this grate heater for wood fireplaces. An 8 foot power cord and motor can be mounted on the left or right side of the unit, and a top mounted log retainer is optional. A variable speed blower turns on at 110° and off at 90° so that you use minimal electricity.
