Stiegel 1769 Stove Plate Pennsylvania Fireback. Coated in a matte black water-based paint, this helps prevent rusting during the transportation process. During the sand casting process, slight imperfections might appear, but these are easily removed with a wire brush, sandpaper, or steel wool. Some bare spots may appear in the metal, but this can be covered with the (sold separate) stove polish.
