For the longest time, urns and flowers have been a very popular motif for firebacks and stove plate ornaments! This hand made fireback is covered in a water-based matte black paint to help prevent rust during transportation. This paint finish may contain slight chips or imperfections which are easily removed with a wire brush, steel wool, or sand paper. These imperfections are inherent from the sand casting process. Bare spots in the finish might be visible, which can be covered up with the (sold separate) stove polish, which can also be applied yearly to achieve a nice new look! The uniquely designed Safe-T-Boots allow for this fireback to be positioned upright, leaning slightly forwards or backwards, which can be used with numerous fireplace accessories such as wrought iron/cast iron grates, andirons, and gas log systems!
