This hand made cast iron fireback features a beautiful design of children enjoying nature's revival, along with ten birds, two rabbits, two deer and a turtle on the move. On the bottom is the word "Spring" which completes the look. It is coated in a matte black water-based paint which is to help prevent rust during the transportation process. This paint finish may contain slight imperfections which is inherent from the sand casting process. These are easily removed with a simple wire brush, steel wool, or sand paper. You can also cover up bare spots with the (sold separate) stove polish. This polish can also be applied yearly to keep the fireback looking new! Stand up this fireback upright, slightly forwards, or leaning slightly back at a number of different angles against the rear wall of the fireplace hearth with the uniquely designed Safe-T-Boots. These feet can be used with a number of fireplace log accessories including cast iron grates, wrought iron grates, andirons (fire-dogs), and even gas log systems!
