With the same design as the Plain Great Oak design fireback, this is made to better suite prefab and smaller fireplace. Featuring a beautiful great oak, this fireback pays tribute to the "Kings of the Forest" and everything we receive from them. Traditionally, the oak tree is a symbol of strength and durability. Coated in a matte-black finish, this fireback is also painted in a water-based paint to prevent rusting during transport. This paint coat may show slight imperfections, however, they are easily removed by burning them off with a season of use, or simply with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper. If there are bare spots, then you can cover them up with the (sold separate) stove polish. Additionally, you can add the polish yearly to keep it looking new! You can stand this fireback upright, slightly forward, or even backwards at a number of different angles with the unique Safe-T-Boots. These feet are compatible with multiple fireplace accessories including cast iron grates, wrought iron grates, andirons, and even gas log systems.
