This cast iron fireback is hand crafted in the USA and features a view of distant mountain tops (Perhaps the Pennsylvania Appalachian Mountains), with a family of geese soaring high in the distance. Along the frame are a pair of beautiful arched trees sat on a rocky hill. This fireback also has a matte black water based paint. This paint could contain slight chips and imperfections which are easily removed by the heat of the fire over time after a season of use. If an immediate finish is desired, than you can apply the stove polish (sold separate) right before use. This polish can also be applied yearly to keep the fireback looking new. Position this fireback a number of different ways against the back wall of the fireplace hearth including: upright, leaning slightly back, or leaning forward, with the unique Safe-T-Boots (sold separate). These feet can be used with several different fireplace hearth accessories including cast iron grates, wrought iron grates, andirons (or fire-dogs), and even a gas log system!
