Hand crafted in the USA, this cast iron fireback features a large clipper ship passing the lighthouses peninsula returning to the port. The ship and its crew are greeted by friendly seagulls and a pilot ship to guide it safely back to its harbor, while a message in a bottle bobs around in the waves to be found some other day. This fireback is coated in a black-water based paint which may contain chips or imperfections. This paint is to prevent rust during transportation. These chips and imperfections are easily removed by burning them off over time after a season of use. You can stand this fireback upright, leaning slightly back, or even leaning forward at a number of different angles against the fireplaces back wall with the unique Safe-T-Boots. These feet can also be used with wrought iron and cast iron grates, andirons, or a gas log system.
