Mainly used in heraldic arc, this cast iron fireback features a Fluers-De-Lis design which is also known as flower lily. It has three lily pedals that are bound together at the base of the flower. This fireback is painted in black-water based paint, this will help to prevent rust during transportation. This paint finish may contain chips or imperfections, which will burn off in the fireplace after a season of use. If you're looking for an immediate finished look, then stove polish can be applied before use, and also yearly to keep the fireback looking new. This fireback is hand made in the USA. The (sold separate) Safe-T-Boots allow for the fireback to be placed in your choice of either leaning slightly back, upright, or lean forward at a number of different angles against the back wall of the fireplace. They can be used with any wrought iron grate, gas log system, cast iron grate, or andirons (fire-dogs)!
