Looking for a gas fireplace remote control replacement? The RCK-M series by Hearth Product Controls is designed for use with gas fireplaces and wall heaters. Included with this gas fireplace remote control kit are the remote transmitter, the receiver box, and an instruction manual. The hand held, two button fireplace remote control turns the fireplace on and off and controls the flame height. The backlit screen displays the room temperature, a low battery warning, and if the child proof setting is activated. To turn the fire on using the fireplace remote control, the pilot light must be lit and the control knob turned to the "ON" position. The matching receiver box has a heat shield that allows it to be installed inside the fireplace. An overheat feature on the receiver box will automatically shut off the box and the fireplace if the receiver gets too hot. It can also be mounted on a nearby wall as well. If the remote is out of reach or disabled by the child proof setting, there is a switch on the receiver that also operates the flame adjustment.
