The HPC RCK-B Indoor Fireplace Remote Control Kit has a manual on/off switch. It also has a safety timer that will also automatically shut off after 6 hours of constant use if enabled. This gas fireplace remote control kit also has a convenient childproof feature hidden inside the battery compartment that will disable the main buttons and make it safe. The gas fireplace remote control replacement has a backlit LCD screen that shows you the room temperature if the battery is low, and if the childproof feature is turned on. Uses a 120 VAC wired connection. To light the pilot flame, the valve for the gas control has to be turned to the "ON" position for the remote to work.
