This On/Off RCK-I series gas fireplace remote control kit by Hearth Products Controls works with gas fireplaces and heaters using Millivolt valves. The fireplace remote control has a manual on/off switch and the receiver has high-temperature wires already installed for your safety. There is also an overheat protection switch built into this receiver, but we would recommend installing the included heat shield to prevent the unit from overheating in the first place. A 6-hour safety timer on the receiver can be switched on, which will automatically shut down the fireplace after 6 hours of inactivity from the paired remote. The gas fireplace remote control has a backlit LCD screen and a low battery indicator. This indoor fireplace remote control kit also has a convenient childproof feature to disable the buttons and make it safe to leave in the room with children.
