Enhance your fireplace experience with the Hargrove 24 Inch Aspen Timbers Vented See-Thru Log Set, complete with an optional burner and valve. These logs authentically capture the essence of rich, intricately detailed bark and the natural appearance of split logs.

The Aspen Timbers variety showcases elegantly crafted white birch-style logs, accentuated by an open view ember bed that casts a captivating and inviting warm glow. The creation of this natural-looking gas fireplace log set is a testament to intricate craftsmanship, from the textured models to the meticulous hand-painting process.

Tailor your gas fireplace logs to your specific preferences by choosing from a range of options, including fuel type, size, ignition method, and the convenience of an optional remote control. These ceramic fiber fireplace gas logs not only offer superior heat output compared to refractory concrete or cement logs but also maintain their radiant, red-hot glow even after the flames have been extinguished, all while using the same amount of fuel.

Rest easy with the assurance of a limited lifetime warranty. Hargrove's Timbers Series ceramic fiber logs incorporate Radiant Heat Technology, setting them apart from refractory or concrete logs. While refractory logs tend to absorb heat, our Timbers Series logs efficiently radiate heat from their heated surfaces into the living space, making the most of the warmth generated by the flame.

To achieve maximum radiant heat, Hargrove's S-Burner system, although compatible with all Timbers Series logs, excels in producing a substantial flame, thereby optimizing radiant heat output.

For enhanced performance, Radiant Riser and Radiant Glow Bracket components are included in Radiant Heat sets. The U-shaped Radiant Riser creates a heat chamber within the log stack, while the Radiant Glow Bracket, attached to the back of the S-Burner, guides the flame and heat into the heat chamber, maximizing radiant heat production for a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Elevate your fireplace with Hargrove's Aspen Timbers log set today.

Pre-Installation Checklist for Fireplace and Chimney:

Verify that the fireplace is approved for solid-fuel burning and constructed with non-combustible materials.

Confirm the operational damper is in place, and the chimney is clear of any obstructions or restrictions.

Ensure that the fireplace has the appropriate draft to accommodate the decorative appliance.

Make sure the fireplace is clean and free from debris or ash.

Check for any obstructions in the fireplace, such as log grates or log lighters, that could hinder the installation of the log set.

In cases where the floor is recessed or glass doors are installed, consider elevating the appliance to ensure proper air circulation.

Refer to the sizing table to determine if the log set is the right fit for the fireplace installation.

Gas Line:

Inspect the gas line to ensure it is in safe condition and adequate for the installation.

Verify that the gas line sizing is appropriate for the appliance.

If possible, position the gas line on the right side of the fireplace for a smoother installation process.

Before starting the burner installation, ensure that the gas supply line is turned off for safety.

Burner and Grate Placement Instructions:

Ensure that the gas supply is turned off.

Center the burner on the fireplace floor, positioning it directly beneath the flue opening.

Place the grate over the burner in a manner that positions the legs of the grate just outside the perimeter of the burner.

Once the desired positioning is achieved, mark the locations of the burner and grate on the floor of the fireplace as reference points.

Remove the grate to proceed with the gas connection.

Please Note: In cases where the floor is recessed or glass doors are installed, it is essential to elevate the burner using a firebrick or an equivalent material. This elevation is necessary to ensure proper air circulation over the valve systems.

Sizing a See-Thru Gas Log Set and Valve Installation

A see-thru fireplace is a captivating feature, offering warmth and beauty to two rooms simultaneously. Sizing your see-thru gas log set correctly is essential for both aesthetic appeal and safety. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of selecting the right gas log set size, considering the clearance from the valve to the firebox wall, and understanding how much smaller the log set should be to ensure a harmonious fireplace experience.

Measure Your Fireplace

To begin, carefully measure the dimensions of both sides of your see-thru fireplace. Take note of the width, depth, and height of each opening, as these measurements will be the foundation for choosing the correct gas log set size.

Select the Right Width and Height

Choose the width and height of your gas log set carefully to create symmetry and balance. Ensure the log set fits within the measured dimensions of each side's opening, leaving a small gap for safety and aesthetics.

Consider the Depth

Depth is another vital dimension. Measure the depth of each fireplace opening and select a log set with logs that fit comfortably within these measurements, allowing room for airflow and ensuring safe use.

How Much Smaller Should the Log Set Be? Valve Installation Considerations

When installing a valve for your see-thru gas log set, there are crucial factors to consider:

  • Safety Clearance: The distance from the valve to the firebox wall is a primary concern. The manufacturer of your gas log set should provide recommended clearances for the valve system. These guidelines are designed to prevent the valve from being exposed to excessive heat, which could lead to malfunctions or safety hazards.
  • Valve Accessibility: Ensure the valve is easily accessible for operation and maintenance while adhering to safety clearance requirements. Valve accessibility varies based on the design and layout of the fireplace, so consider these aspects when determining the valve's placement.

Clearance for Gas Fireplace Accessories

In addition to the valve, consider the clearance needed for gas fireplace accessories such as safety pilot lights, remote control systems, millivolt systems, and burner systems.

  • Safety Pilot Lights: Provide at least 3 inches of clearance on each side of your gas logs to accommodate pilot lights.
  • Remote Control Gas Logs: For gas log sets equipped with remote control systems, allow a minimum of 6 inches of clearance on each side of the logs.

Professional Installation

For both the gas log set and the valve, professional installation is highly recommended. Certified technicians can ensure that the logs are correctly positioned and that the gas line is connected safely and securely. They will also verify that the recommended clearance for the valve and gas log set is maintained. Professional installation guarantees the proper functioning of your see-thru gas log set and provides peace of mind.

Selecting the right size for your see-thru gas log set, considering valve placement and ensuring the correct clearance, is essential for creating a safe and aesthetically pleasing fireplace experience. Follow precise measurements, adhere to manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize professional installation for a cozy and inviting ambiance in both living spaces. Remember, safety and aesthetics go hand in hand when it comes to your see-thru fireplace.
