The Aurora zero clearance fireplace glass door for fmi fireplaces comes with your choice of finish, glass colors and door pane styles. Easy to clean full fold doors open 180° for enhanced viewing and are available in trackless bi-fold or cabinet styles. Between each glass pane is a 1/4 inch gap that will ensure the appropriate air flow for this fireplace glass door so it can be safely installed on your prefab fireplace. Clear tempered glass is standard. However, grey and bronze tints are also available. Choose from several beautiful finish colors for the anodized aluminum frame. We offer satin nickel, polished brass, or the striking powdercoat finishes. The slanted, square frame fits snugly inside your firebox for a perfect fit! Installation: H for Hope You Are Handy! Fireplace door installation requires power tools. You will need a pencil, 1/16” Drill Bit, Power Drill and a Phillips head Screwdriver. Place new door carefully into fireplace opening and use the pencil to mark hole location through inside of the door frame. Remove door from opening and use the power drill and 1/16” drill bit to drill holes through the sheet metal of the metal firebox. Place door back into fireplace opening and use screws and screwdriver to finish installation. DON'T forget to peel off protective plastic. Self tapping screws are provided and eliminates the need for pre-drilling. Be careful when using a power drill, to avoid slipping of the screw heads and damaging the fireplace door! PLEASE NOTE: Spark protection is available as an option.
