Cre-Away Creosote Modifier is a powder chimney treatment that converts creosote buildup to a brittle state for easy removal! Effective on all types of creosote and reduces odors, cleans chimney, and prevents chimney fires. The creosote glaze removal process utilizes four powerful components that ultimately come together as a highly effective stage 3 creosote remover! First, creosote is neutralized with a reactive agent to make it less flammable and corrosive. Then a dehydrator absorbs moisture, grease, and oils, after which a combustion inhibitor powder reduces the risk of chimney fires. Finally, a magnesium catalyst breaks down third-degree creosote as flue is heated through regular use of the fireplace. Complete results take about 1 to 2 weeks of heating and cooling cycles to fully react with buildup before it can be brushed away with a chimney cleaning.
