The American Hearth 30" Driftwood Burncrete Ventless Gas Log Set brings the warmth of a beach bonfire into the comfort of your own home.Because they are cast to look like logs washed up on the beach, they will remind you of summer even in the coldest seasons. Burncrete is a highly engineered material that is heavier and more resistant than many other logs on the market, signaling a long life. The ventless Slope Glaze gas burner may be used in any certified vent-free firebox or existing wood burning fireplace with a closed damper. This one-of-a-kind burner technology not only produces aesthetically amazing flames, but it also remains 99.9% efficient! That is, there is almost little risk of dangerous byproducts being discharged into the room. An ODS (Oxygen Depletion Sensor) is integrated with all Vent-Free Burners. If oxygen levels fall below a certain threshold, the ODS will disable the burner. The ventless gas log set may also be used as a decorative appliance in an existing wood fireplace by simply keeping the damper open. The millivolt valves are both remote ready and feature a standing pilot that does not require electricity to ignite. One model includes the simple on/off swich, with the option of adding a remote. The other millivolt includes a variable flame remote control (non-thermost), allowing you to conveniently turn the burner on and control the flame height. To function, the intermittent pilot system requires electricity, either in the form of 120VAC power or batteries. To carry out the ignition, intermittent pilot ignition systems have a control module/board. The ignition sequence begins when the switch or included thermostat variable flame height remote is activated.
