The American Hearth 30" Charleston Select Vent Free Gas Log Set provides the ambiance of a real fire without the need for a chimney or venting equipment. After being molded from actual wood, the durable refractory concrete logs are hand painted to showcase the unique grain. The ventless Slope Glaze gas burner provides 99.9% of available heat energy directly to the room. This vent free gas burner has a safety device called an Oxygen Depletion Sensor, which automatically turns off the valve if the oxygen level in the room falls to an unhealthy level. The ceramic beads in the vent free Slope Glaze gas burners tumble the gas, creating extremely lifelike flame movement and the atmosphere of a wood-burning fireplace. There are 3 different ignition types available for the Slope Glaze Burner: The Millivolt system comes with an on/off switch, but it may also be controlled by a wall switch or remote control (both of which are sold separately). The Variable Flame system, on the other hand, features a remote control that can regulate both turning the burner on and off as well as the height of the flame. A Thermostat Variable Remote that adjusts flame height and sets and maintains room temperature is included with the Intermittent Pilot system.
