The alternative mounting bracket kit is perfect if your standard mounting hardware doesn't work for your factory built steel firebox. The extension brackets will reach to the side wall, where they can be screwed and secured in place. Make sure that your door has the mounting stud. If not you can also drill into the backframe of your door and attach the bracket with self tapping screws (not provided).
