In addition to other maintenance tasks that you’ll be performing on your wood stove, don’t forget to check the gasket! Checking your gasket to see how well it’s held up is easy, just check out our how-to video below! Media Mike shows you an easy way to see if your gasket is still doing well or if it’s time to replace it. If it is, you’ve come to the right place! Wood stoves burn more efficiently when they have a tight seal around the door and window.  The gaskets on wood stoves are what create that tight seal, but over time some of them wear down and need replaced.  Our replacement wood stove gasket is made from high quality fiberglass and is impregnated with black graph Check your stove's owners manual to know the exact diameter of gasket you need. Don't be fooled by competitor's prices! Make sure to check their shipping and handling charges! As always - our shipping is FREE! Made in the USA! To use: Remove old gasket. Thoroughly clean the area. Use a gasket adhesive to attach the new gasket. Adhesive: We recommend you purchase a gasket cement to adhere the gasket to your stove or insert. Gasket cements are used not only as the "glue" to hold the gasket in place but can also be used to seal minor cracks and pin holes in the stove body. It is not recommended that you use a sealant as an adhesive. High temperature silicone and sealants are not meant to be used as an adhesive or to fix your stove or insert.   Gaskets For Vermont Castings Wood Stoves: Aspen Woodburning Stove 1920 = Needs 5 Feet Defiant 2N1 1975-1979 = Needs 8 Feet Dutchwest Catalytic 9093 2183 = Needs 4 Feet Dutchwest Extra-Large Catalytic Stove 2462 = Needs 10 Feet Dutchwest Large Catalytic Stove 2461 = Needs 10 Feet Dutchwest Small Catalytic Stove 2460 = Needs 4 Feet Sequoia Stove 455C = Needs 5 Feet .
