Created only for masonry fireplaces with a hole-in-the-wall design, the Apex is a perfect choice as you update your outdoor fireplace. The work of the folks at Design Specialties, the Apex will be custom cut to fit your personal fireplace needs. Your fireplace will work with this design if it is the above mentioned hole-the-wall, also known as suspended or raised in fireplace terms. The 4 Sided Overlap Fit Apex Outdoor Masonry Fireplace Glass Door offers many included customizable choices, with over 20 color tone options, two door handle styles, and four tones of tempered safety glass the Apex will fit perfectly into your design style. The Apex also offers the opportunity to upgrade the design with a full window motif offered in the Rectangle with Mission Window Pane, The Rectangle Sunrise Window Pane, or The Rectangle with Window Pane. Another highly recommended upgrade are one of the two spark protection offers, of the the Stainless Steel Gate Mesh or the Stainless Steel Mesh Curtain, created in stainless steel for outdoor use choosing spark protection will add to your peace of mind while you enjoy your fireplace setting. Please note: This is a 4 SIDED OVERLAP FIT DOOR for masonry fireplaces only. The sliding mesh will add 2 inches of depth (on top of the frame dimension) into your firebox. Cabinet mesh adds 3/4 inch. What You Need To Know If Door Is Used Outdoors Aluminum doors intended for outdoor use will have most components other than the outer frame and door frames made from stainless steel. Not all components are stainless however and some staining due to corrosion will occur. Fireplace doors used outdoors with stainless components will function as intended if kept clean and the moving components oiled occasionally. Manufacturer is not responsible for tarnishing or discoloration due to environmental factors.
