The 4 inch legs promote air circulation between the floor of your feature and the bars of the firewood grate, for hotter and more ample flames. The optional Char Guard allows you to throw on some charcoal for outdoor cooking. Please Note: The black finish on this fire pit grate is heat and weather resistant. We also recommend the add-on of the Char Guard which improves complete burn consistency and makes clean out easier.
