The 4" legs allow for optimum air circulation underneath the logs that are cradled within your grate. The optional Char Guard promotes a more consistent burn and makes ash clean-up easy. Please Note: The black finish on this fire pit grate is heat and weather resistant. We also recommend the add-on of the Char Guard which improves complete burn consistency and makes clean out easier.
