The Rasmussen Chillbuster CoalFire series is a vent-less gas coal basket and burner designed for small, shallow fireplaces. The Moderne style of the coal basket grate features horizontal stripes that give a contemporary feel to your fireplace. This fireplace coal basket is 15 inches wide, 8-3/8 inches deep, and 8-1/2 inches high with a burner that is 13 inches wide. The coals are made from durable refractory cement. This ventless unit can have the damper opened slightly for reduced venting, and can be used with natural gas or liquid propane! The Chillbuster gas coal fire baskets come standard equipped with a manual ignition system. Turn the valve knob to light the main burner and some minimal flame height adjustment. You can have this with or without a remote. There is also a thermostat option, where you can set a more specific temperature control, or you can upgrade to a Variable Flame Height Remote, which will give better control of the flame height with the hand-held wireless remote. You can install the CoalFire in a vent-free, vented and in reduced vent installations.
