10" x 18" Chim-A-Lator Top Sealing Damper

The Bernard Dalsin Mfg Co. Chim-A-Lator Deluxe top sealing chimney damper can help save on energy costs by creating a tight seal on top of the chimney when the fireplace is not in use. Easily mounts on top of a masonry or clay tile chimney top and is operated by a convenient, adjustable regulator installed on the side wall of the fireplace.  The 100% 304 stainless steel construction makes this more efficient than cast iron dampers as it does not rust or corrode.  The integrated spark arrestor provides for safe fireplace operation while keeping animals and debris out of the chimney, even when the damper is open.  The heavy duty stainless steel springs provide 45lbs of lift when opening the damper,  preventing it to freeze shut in cold climates. The Chim-A-Lator comes fully assembled for easy installation, using only a screwdriver.  This is an ideal replacement for old defective fireplace dampers

Note:

• Minimum fireplace depth must be 12.25" (front to back)
• Not for use with gas logs or appliances or air cooled factory built chimneys
• 5” minimum space between flue tiles required (overhang is 2.5”)
• The damper should always be in the open position whenever a fire is burning in the fireplace
