Mounting Board Included

We offer standard size units as well as the availability to customize units to fit most area requirements.
Our standard dimensions will change in proportion to sizes ordered. Any changes to standard dimensions can alter the appearance of the mantel.
The standard wood species offered are Oak and Birch (a combination of different wood types, strictly for painting).
Custom quotes are available for other wood species. Products manufactured may include solid wood pieces, veneers, wood compositions, plywood and any other materials used in the manufacturing process at a given time.

Custom made mantel shelves run an approximate 2-3 weeks, plus transit time.

General Wood Shelf Installation Instruction
Below are our mantel shelf installation instructions.

1.Remove the mounting board from inside the back of the shelf.

2. This height is primarily based on what looks best to you, 50" - 60" is average range for overall height. But, be sure to check with your local building codes to ensure adequate clearance from fireplace opening to bottom hanging Mantel Shelf.

3.On the wall where you are attaching the shelf, locate the studs behind the sheetrock.

4.With the 3/16" drill bit, pre-drill the mounting board evenly along it's length for the 3" #10 screws. If you are mounting the Mantel to wood framed drywall, locate at least two studs and drill the mounting board so the screws will hit those studs. Hold the board to the wall, check for level and mark the wall where the holes have been drilled through the board. Run a bead of construction adhesive along the back side of the mounting board, put it in place and tighten the screws until secure.

5. Run a bead of construction adhesive along the top edge of the mounting board. Slide the Mantel over the board and use the 2" #8 wood screws to attach the Mantel while holding it tight against the wall. You may want to countersink them and use wood plugs to give them a finished appearance. A helper will make this last step easier.

Please note:

-If you do not wish to use nails, liquid nail can be used as well.
-For additional hold, use wood glue between mounting board on wall and between nailer board and shelf.
